  1. I’m glad you came to Eastern Market. I’m delighted quality coffee has returned to Capitol Hill (following the closure of your predecessor in the space). I’ve enjoyed every cup I’ve had at Peregrine.

Here’s the thing: I’m desperate for a bigger cup. Maybe fine brews are meant to be sipped and savored. Maybe it’s easier to have a single size for ordering and serving. Whatever the reason, I find it *incredibly* frustrating I can’t walk out of Peregrine with a large cup of my favorite drink (a latte) to enjoy.

After all, Peregrine is nearly a mile from my home on the NE side of Capitol Hill. So every time I stop by, I want more to savor.

Is there any chance you’ll offer more size options in the future?

    Hi, Jen.

Thanks for the nice comments. We have enjoyed this past month and look forward to continuing to meet a lot of our neighbors.

The menu wasn’t at all meant to limit or frustrate anyone. For a number of reasons, we decided to keep things small and simple and currently don’t have any plans to stock larger cups.

What I have encouraged people searching for larger sizes is to bring in a reusable cup. We have no problems making a larger sized drink in a customer’s cup and already have a number of people bringing in their own cup for their favorite beverage. Plus, it saves a lot of paper cups, which is good.

Take care and I hope to see you soon.
